170 empresas andaluzas se unen a la marca ‘Parque Natural de Andalucía’

The Sustainability and Environment Councilor, Catalina García, has stated in the Andalusian Parliament that 170 companies have joined the ‘Parque Natural de Andalucía’ brand, which represents «the best of Andalusia, its roots, its people, and its commitment to the future.»

During an oral question session in the control session, the councilor specified that there are already more than 1,800 Andalusian products and services that have this distinctive, which also endorses Protected Natural Spaces and «reflects the soul of those who live, work, and take care of these territories.»

Regarding these products, García has specified that they are oils, honeys, wines, cheeses, or sausages that «not only compete for their taste or quality, but also for the values they represent» and that all of them have been produced in parks such as Sierra de Grazalema, Sierra de Aracena and Picos de Aroche, Los Alcornocales, Sierra María-Los Vélez, or Sierra de Cazorla, Segura, and las Villas.

The Sustainability and Environment Councilor has stated that «Andalusia conserves and innovates» and that «investing in quality is also investing in sustainability.» Therefore, she emphasized that this emblem «is part of the strategic vision that Andalusia advances without destroying, generates wealth without depleting, and protects biodiversity, while creating green jobs.»

These initiatives, she added, are part of the sustainability policies of the Andalusian government and also of the 2030 Agenda, «which aims to advance towards a balanced and fair development model.» Thus, this brand enables companies to «stand out in the most demanding markets, access new opportunities and commercialization, and also build consumer trust».

New digital tool

Catalina García has announced that a new digital tool has recently been launched through the Junta de Andalucía’s Environmental Portal that will facilitate access to all these products and «will continue to give visibility to a business fabric that is an example of positive transformation.»

In this regard, she pointed out that hundreds of companies are benefiting from the digital search engine including detailed information about each company, from their location to the products and services they offer, all linked to the values of the territory in which they are produced. «We are talking about goods and experiences that arise from natural parks that are true biodiversity sanctuaries. As we say in our campaign, ‘To preserve, choose quality: Parque Natural de Andalucía’,» emphasized the councilor.

García has encouraged all consumers to choose these products «because it is the choice of authenticity, and a conscious consumption that supports those who are transforming the global from the local. Additionally, «they represent a guarantee for the consumer, an Andalusian pride, and a lever for change so that Andalusia becomes more sustainable, fairer, and more prosperous.»

Finally, she thanked «the enthusiasm and collaboration of the entire sector,» as well as the technicians of the Sustainability and Environment Council, because «they make it possible for this brand to be a consolidated reality today and with great future prospects.»
