La Guardia Civil, within the operation «Nonimo,» dismantled two violent criminal groups and dismantled several drug points in Malaga Torrox. In total, 28 people were arrested for crimes against public health, belonging to the criminal organization, against road safety, robbery with violence, purple raid, illegal detention, attempted homicide, serious injuries, and threats.

During the operation, there were 13 seizures in which ten kilograms of marijuana, 585 grams of cocaine, several doses of heroin, LSD, 211 grams of hashish, six prohibited bladed weapons, seven mobile phones, seven precision scales, and other drug paraphernalia were seized, the Guardia Civil stated in a release.

The investigation began after agents became aware of a significant cocaine retail point in a neighborhood near Andalusia in Torrox, run by two very conflictive brothers.

Buyers were seen paying for the drugs in cash into an account, which was judicially blocked, belonging to one of the detainees. Consequently, in their accounts, two buyers found income of up to 5,000 euros in just four months and, in total, over 25,000 euros from the sale of cocaine.

During the investigation, one regular buyer reported one of the brothers. He claimed that, along with two other sellers, they pursued him and threatened him with death for his duty.

Following this complaint, the leader of this sales point was arrested in the Andalusia district and a first search was carried out at the home where numerous cocaine and drug preparation materials were found, including a large model, a large scraper, and a .

After being released from prison pending trial, he continued to threaten the victim and lured him to his house, where he held him against his will, forced him to consume cocaine, and beat him all over his body. All of this with the help of his brother.

Additionally, a corrosive substance caused second-degree burns on both legs and a cut on the face until he lost consciousness. The victim had to be admitted to the Regional Hospital of Axarqua, where he noticed that his belongings had been stolen. Following these events, the two brothers were finally arrested and remanded into custody by the judicial authority.

Other sales points

With these last two arrests, investigators found that in two other houses and a commercial establishment in Torrox, retail drug sales were being conducted.

The investigation revealed the existence of a network with a hierarchical structure in which several individuals transported, hid, and sold the drugs.

Therefore, raids were conducted at two other houses, some garages, and three public units in Torrox, resulting in the arrest of nine people, five of whom were incarcerated.

Similarly, various amounts of cocaine, hashish, marijuana, synthetic drugs, as well as two vehicles, cash, and drug paraphernalia were seized.

In the latest operation, the Guardia Civil dismantled another sales point in another house in the Old Town, run by a couple and two other residents of the city.

This group was mainly dedicated to the sale of cocaine and marijuana, which they cultivated on a member of the criminal group’s farm and later transported to another member to conceal.

This network supplied cocaine to another seller, also based in Torrox-Costa, who was well-known for his extreme violence. This individual was involved in constant fights, carrying large bladed weapons on the street, such as machetes or axes. As a result, six more people were arrested, four of whom were imprisoned.

The investigation was carried out by troops from the main position of the Torrox-Algaro of the Guardia Civil Company in Vélez-Málaga.
