The «Paco Aguilar» pavilion in Vélez-Málaga will host the best young handball players, both male and female, in a competition that will determine the champions of Malaga and the teams that will participate in the Andalusian Championship. The event will take place on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29, with an exciting competition format in league mode.
The Department of Sports of the Vélez-Málaga City Council continues its commitment to organizing major sporting events in the municipality. This is evident in the hosting of the male and female infant Final Four handball tournament at the «Paco Aguilar» pavilion, which serves as a gateway to the Andalusian Championship. On Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30, we will witness the best teams from Malaga competing for a spot in the CADEBA, organized by the Federation and showcasing the most promising young talents in the region.
During a press conference held at the Casa del Deporte, the Sports Councillor of Vélez-Málaga, Manuel Gutiérrez, along with the manager of the Andalusian Handball Federation, Raúl Romero, presented this sporting event. Gutiérrez emphasized the importance of hosting such initiatives to promote Vélez-Málaga and its cultural heritage. The Department is committed to promoting sports among residents to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Raúl Romero, representing the Andalusian Handball Federation, called on the local population to attend this handball event in Vélez-Málaga, highlighting the participation of the best talents in Malaga. The event not only promotes the sport but also brings families to the city, providing an economic boost to local businesses.
The Final Four tournament, for both male and female categories, will take place at the «Paco Aguilar» sports complex on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30. The schedule for the first day includes male matches at 9:30 and 10:45 hours, and female matches at 12:30 and 13:45 hours. On Sunday, the male teams will play at 9:30 and 13:45, while the female teams will compete at 10:45 and 12:30 hours.
Teams will compete in a round-robin league format among the top four teams in Malaga, providing an exciting competition for spectators. After the rounds, the champions of Malaga in 2025 will be determined, along with the three male and two female teams that will qualify for the Andalusian Championship (CADEBA) in Linares (Jaén) for females and La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) for males.
