The Department of Sports of the Vélez-Málaga City Council continues its commitment to organizing major sporting events in the municipality. This is evident in the hosting of the male and female infant Final Four handball tournament at the «Paco Aguilar» pavilion, which serves as a gateway to the Andalusian Championship. On Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30, we will witness the best teams from Malaga competing for a spot in the CADEBA, organized by the Federation and showcasing the most promising young talents in the region.
During a press conference held at the Casa del Deporte, the Sports Councillor of Vélez-Málaga, Manuel Gutiérrez, along with the manager of the Andalusian Handball Federation, Raúl Romero, presented this sporting event. Gutiérrez emphasized the importance of hosting such initiatives to promote Vélez-Málaga and its cultural heritage. The Final Four tournament, for both male and female categories, will take place at the «Paco Aguilar» sports complex on Saturday, March 29 and Sunday, March 30. The schedule for the first day includes male matches at 9:30 and 10:45 hours, and female matches at 12:30 and 13:45 hours. On Sunday, the male teams will play at 9:30 and 13:45, while the female teams will compete at 10:45 and 12:30 hours.
Teams will compete in a round-robin league format among the top four teams in Malaga, providing an exciting competition for spectators. After the rounds, the champions of Malaga in 2025 will be determined, along with the three male and two female teams that will qualify for the Andalusian Championship (CADEBA) in Linares (Jaén) for females and La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz) for males.
