Moreno elogia a las «Mujeres Excelentes de Andalucía» por su valor y capacidad transformadora

The President of the Andalusian Government, Juanma Moreno, attended the «Excellent Women of Andalusia Awards» in Córdoba, organized by the online publication ‘Artículo 14’, where he emphasized the fundamental role played by women entrepreneurs in key and emerging sectors in society.

Moreno highlighted the value and transformative capacity of women and congratulated the awardees, including Ana Bella, Lucía Moral, Carmen Asido, Pilar Cosentino, Mar Perrote, Lola Cabrillana, and Paz Vega.

 

In this sense, he emphasized that women represent the best of Andalusian society and praised their efforts to create a fairer, more equitable society where equality is real.

In this regard, he pointed out that society is the driving force behind major transformations and has the strength and commitment to make a change, while also noting that no society can progress without equality, because «full equality of opportunities is the only way to lead Andalusia«.

He also highlighted that today we have the largest female staff dedicated to R&D in history, with women already representing 40% of research personnel.

Furthermore, he assured that Andalusia is the second region where female unemployment decreased the most since 2018, with 246,000 more employed women than in 2018, a reduction of over 7% in the gender pay gap between 2018 and 2022, more women entrepreneurs than ever, over 210,000 self-employed women, and half of the new self-employed individuals in the last year were women.

The Andalusian President encouraged further progress in all areas and working together to achieve a society that is equal and where everyone has the same opportunities.

The event was attended by the Minister of Justice, Public Administration, and Local Government, José Antonio Nieto, the Minister of Employment, Business, and Self-Employment, Rocío Blanco, the Mayor of Córdoba, José María Bellido, and the President of the Provincial Council, Salvador Fuentes.
