El delegado del desarrollo educativo lidera sector Dual FP mecánico y automotriz

The territorial delegate for educational development, Miguel Briones, chaired the new meeting between the educational and commercial sectors of mechanics and automobiles in the province of Malaga, held at Malaga Tech Park.

This event, aimed at promoting collaboration between vocational training (FP) and companies in Malaga, is part of a series of meetings designed to strengthen the connection between education and commercial fabrics within the new Dual FP, as indicated by the council in a statement.

Therefore, they appreciated that the territorial delegation continues to actively work on promoting these relationships, which include advice for teachers and entrepreneurs, organizing meetings, or signing agreements with key institutions such as the Chamber of Commerce, the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Malaga, the University, the Technological Park, and various business associations.

This meeting focused on the mechanical sector, specifically including the professional mechanical production families on one hand, and transportation and maintenance on the other.

In this way, they specified, they are adding to the previously promoted ones by the FP Dynamis network, with the collaboration of teacher counselors, focusing on different sectors such as computer science and telecommunications, hospitality and tourism, physical and sports activities, sour foods, social administration, administration, management, and marketing of construction services in construction.

In addition to the territorial delegate for educational development and vocational training, Juan Peña, vice president of Assoauto Malaga, and Franchesca Gutiérrez García, executive vice president of Fedama, were also present.

Throughout the day, presentations were made on dual FP news, networking activities, and working tables between teachers and companies, creating a space for dialogue to understand the needs of companies and improve student training.

Among the participating speakers were Ana Peinado Romero, head of the industrial control training unit in Andalusia; Mónica, relative, training coordinator and head of the mobility department at Grupo Caetano; Rubén Castellanos Cruzado, head of the human resources and training department at Dekra; and Juan Peña, vice president of the Automotive Association of Malaga.

This ninth meeting will benefit nearly 1,000 students in the province of Malaga, promoting greater interaction between work tutors and commercial technicians, who become specialized instructors in the specific requirements of the sector.

Students can access a total of 35 cycles in the two professional families in the province. Some of them are exclusively taught in the province of Malaga, such as the optical party cycle and two cycles that, in all of Andalusia, can only be taken in the province of Malaga: the average degree in railway maintenance materials and the advanced specialization course for rolling stock systems, all delivered at Rosaleda.

Regarding this type of titles and (specialization courses) in the transportation and maintenance family, the educational offer constitutes 21.43% of the entire educational offer in this training stage throughout the province of Malaga.

Briones highlighted the «effort» of dual FP teachers «who faced great challenges due to the rapid implementation of this model» and was positive for the next school year: «From here, we can have a second year with a higher degree of assertiveness.»

He also mentioned the figures that define professional training in the province over the past six years. «A total of 122 training cycles in the province were authorized, with 31 new degrees, in the case of an offer adapted to emerging productive sectors. Agreements with companies have increased by 257% so far, and 4,520 new school places have been created,» he detailed.

Finally, the territorial delegation referred to the investments made in the extensions of educational centers for this school year, amounting to 9.8 million, with actions as relevant as those of IES Santa Bárbara, Gala Antonio, or Martín de Aldehuela, among others.

The event had the participation of eight educational centers, including Rosaleda and IES Antonio Gala de Alhaurín El Grande. Regarding the attending companies, Fedama, SSG Malaga, The Car Solution, Midas Silent, Văiasa (ITV), Autovisa, Automotive Association of Malaga, workshops and Grúas Villarosa SL, CBN Motor PTA SL, Workshops Narváez SL, Formación TORCAL, MALAGA ANTERIOR, and DEKRA were highlighted.
