I extend this gratitude to the brotherhoods and associations for the tremendous work they do, and especially to the security forces that will be deployed, as we have increased police hours to ensure everything runs smoothly.»

Cleaning and Operational Services

Both municipal departments have been working intensively in the days leading up to Holy Week to prepare the various routes of the processions in the three urban centers. Necessary actions have been taken to remove any urban furniture that could obstruct the passage of the thrones, as well as a thorough review of public lighting, clearing, and painting of streets.

Regarding cleaning during Holy Week, there is a provision for a team of workers per procession in each urban center. They will have an SDFK vehicle for emptying bins and collecting excess waste from container points. Additionally, one worker will apply anti-wax product, accompanied by another with a pressure washer to clean the road after applying the product.

Beaches

On another note, the Mayor mentioned that the entire coastline is ready for the start of Holy Week. In fact, 3,000 cubic meters of sand have been poured onto El Charcón Beach to regenerate it and mitigate the effects of recent storms.

Regarding the new modules, a new lifeguard and first aid station have been installed at La Luna Beach, as well as two new toilets at Royal Beach and La Cala Beaches. New access ramps have been installed in the four areas adapted for people with reduced mobility, meeting the regulations with a width of 180 centimeters. Additionally, 120 waste sorting bins have been placed along the entire coastline.

In terms of maintenance work, six kilometers of the coastal path margins have been cleared, as well as all access points to the various beaches. For the path, damaged boards have been replaced, and painting work has been carried out, along with the accesses to the coast.

During Holy Week, the lifeguard and first aid service will be operational, composed of 62 people covering all beaches from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm from April 12 to 20. Showers and foot washers will be in operation.
