The City Council, through the Culture department, kicks off today a week full of events that will run until Saturday, May 3rd, featuring activities related to crafts, flamenco, archaeology, music, and theater. The agenda starts this afternoon at 6:30 pm at the Art and Culture headquarters with the opening of the ‘El lebrillo’ exhibition, showcasing pieces created by the ceramic workshop students.
Today, at 7:00 pm, the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving will host a new installment of the Flamenco at the Museum series, dedicated to the memory of Marbella guitarist Enrique Cortés. Guitarist Luis Fonseca and singer Jasmine Villalobos will perform. Tickets are available for purchase at the museum for 5 euros. Also at 7:00 pm, the Hospital Real de la Misericordia will be the venue for a new conference from the ‘Iberians: myths, identities, and archaeological reality’ series, titled ‘Aristocracies, lineages, and wars: Iberian society from Languedoc to Andalusia,’ presented by Eduardo García Alfonso, archaeologist and head of the Outreach Department at the Museum of Malaga.
The programming will continue in the coming days with notable events, such as the concert ‘Hasta aquí hemos llegado: 25 años’ by the Benavent, Di Geraldo, and Pardo trio, taking place on Friday, May 2nd, at 8:00 pm at the Teatro Ciudad de Marbella. On Saturday, May 3rd, at 8:00 pm, the week will conclude with the theatrical performance ‘Roca Negra,’ starring María Adamuz and Juanjo Puigcorbé, directed by Ignasi Vidal.
