Today, Avenida del Mar hosts the 15th edition of the Marbella Social Fair with the participation of a total of 32 entities and the attendance of over 700 Primary and Secondary school students from the municipality. The Councilor for Social Rights, Isabel Cintado, visited the stands and emphasized that «the main objective is to highlight and give visibility to the tireless work carried out by associations in providing assistance to the most vulnerable groups,» while also pointing out that «it is also a unique opportunity to promote volunteering, especially among teenagers.» She also mentioned that «this year we once again have the members of the Municipal Council for Childhood and Adolescence, and as a novelty, there is a stand from the Equality and Diversity delegation coinciding with tomorrow’s celebration of the International Day against LGTBIfobia.»
The councilor also stated that «this is an event where a wide variety of entities come together, offering enriching activities,» highlighting activities such as ‘The addiction roulette’ by Sampedreña, Arama, and Gacar; the display of workshops by Aspandem; the ‘Volunteering Trivial’ by Marbella Voluntaria, or the ‘Who’s Who?’ by CADI. «These initiatives aim to break down physical and social barriers that many people still face,» said the councilor, who emphasized that «the fair is an essential showcase to firsthand experience the solidarity that drives our city.»
