Apoyo a los retornados en Andalucía: subvención de 70.000 euros para FAER

La Junta de Andalucía strengthens the attention and support to Andalusian returnees through a grant of 70,000 euros awarded to the Andalusian Federation of Returned Emigrants Associations (FAER), a non-profit and charitable entity composed of returned individuals from around the world. In this way, the Ministry of Tourism and Andalusia Exterior collaborates with FAER, a federation that works to integrate the interests and objectives of Andalusians and returned emigrants, constituting an essential link for better communication between them and the administration.

The Minister of Tourism, Arturo Bernal, who has met with the president of FAER, Mario Alonso, and the secretary of the entity, Rocío Abad, has highlighted the sensitivity of the Junta towards those Andalusians residing abroad who have decided to return to their homeland.

The grant awarded to the entity aims to provide assistance in administrative procedures related to return, facilitating the process and overcoming barriers derived from different regulations between countries. In this sense, Bernal has praised the federation’s work in developing activities focused on the reception and support of the returned population, making it a reference in terms of information for these groups.

«Andalucía is a compassionate land that doesn’t forget those who had to leave in search of a future. This collaboration reaffirms the commitment of the Andalusian administration to returned Andalusians and recognizes with actions their effort for this land. We will continue working to make their return home an opportunity for the future and social stability guarantee,» he said.

On the other hand, the president of FAER, Mario Alonso, has appreciated the opportunity to convey to the Minister the different services offered to the group of emigrants and returnees, as well as the concerns, needs, and issues faced by the associative return network in Andalusia.
