Moreno anuncia la creación de un centro de emprendimiento en Baeza con una inversión de casi medio millón de euros

The President of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno, has announced the creation of an entrepreneurship and digital training center in the building provided on Calle Alcalá in the municipality of Baeza, Jaén, which has received an investment of nearly half a million euros through the Digital Agency of Andalucía. «We are talking about a total investment of over one million euros for the next four years.»

Moreno, who visited the City Hall of Baeza, where he met with the mayor, Pedro Cabrera, stated that this opens up a new opportunity for this Cordoban municipality to continue growing and unleashing its potential.

Additionally, he noted that forty-five unemployed young people under thirty have completed their training this month, thanks to the Employment and Training program of the Junta, where they specialized for a year and were employed, receiving the minimum wage. «This program was managed by the City Council with a grant from the Junta of over one million euros.»

He also mentioned other improvements in Baeza, such as a grant of 75,000 euros to restore a section of the city wall, repair the Museum of the Atarazanas, and commission a monument in honor of Pablo de Olavide on the 300th anniversary of his birth.

Likewise, he referred to the Sustainable Tourism Plans in Destination that have allocated more than 31 million to the province, with 2.3 million directly to Baeza, funding various projects like the improvement of the San Francisco Auditorium and increased tourism professionalism.

The Andalusian President pointed out that, as a Andalusian Tourist Municipality, Baeza has received a grant of just over 100,000 euros for its Market of Abastos to become a Gastronomic Market.

He also highlighted that Baeza is synonymous with the most recognized EVOO, a cornerstone of Andalusian exports. This is why the Andalusian Government has approved ten modernization projects for six of its thirteen oil mills since 2019, and has created the differentiated brand ‘Gusto del Sur’ to distinguish the quality of its products.

He also mentioned the free transfer, for fifty years, of up to seven properties owned by the Junta to this City Council this year, highlighting Baeza’s gastronomic excellence. He mentioned the Hacienda La Laguna Hospitality Training School, attached to the Andalusian Employment Service, as essential for this sector.

In conclusion, he highlighted the support for this municipality, reflected in the 1.2 million invested in the comprehensive renovation of the Health Center, in the opening of the West link of the Olive Motorway valued at 500,000 euros, and in access from the A-316, which will soon become a reality. The initiation order is already underway to tender the drafting of the project, with an estimated execution cost of up to seven million euros.
