Por Redaccion The Spanish Basketball Federation has already announced the schedule for the LF Challenge 2025-26. Unicaja Mijas, who was close to promotion to the top category of national basketball last season, will kick off the new season away at Vega Lagunera Toyota Adareva Tenerife. The match will take place on Saturday, September 27th at 7:00 PM at the Islas Canarias Pavilion in La Laguna, Tenerife.
Unicaja Mijas’ home debut will have to wait until round 2. On Saturday, October 4th at 6:00 PM, our team will face La Cordá de Paterna NB, marking the first opportunity for Malaga fans to enjoy Unicaja Mijas 2025-26 at the José María Martín Urbano Pavilion.
In this season, the closest rivalry will be with DOC Gardenstore Baloncesto Sevilla Femenino. In the first round, the Andalusian clash will take place in round 7, on November 8th at the Martín Urbano Pavilion. The visit to Seville will be in round 22, coinciding with Andalusia Day. Unicaja Mijas will play on February 28th at 7:00 PM at the San Pablo Palace in Seville.
It is worth noting that the LF Challenge Regular League will run from September 27th to April 25th. The team that emerges as champion in this phase will secure direct promotion to the Liga Femenina Endesa, while the bottom two teams will be relegated to Liga Femenina 2.
Teams ranked from 2nd to 9th in the Regular League will compete for the second promotion spot to the top category. Initially, there will be quarter-final Playoffs played over the best of 3 games (May 2-9), with the 4 winning teams advancing to a Final Four (May 16-17) where the champion will earn the second promotion.
