The President of the Junta, Juanma Moreno, has stated that the Government Council will approve this afternoon the new Bullfighting Regulation, which is the result of consensus, a driver of modernization, and a declaration of intentions by Andalusia in the leadership and promotion of bullfighting. Thus, he pointed out that Andalusia is taking the initiative and leading the way, incorporating contributions even from other regions, so that this text becomes the reference model for the whole of Spain. «By regulating and updating administrative and organizational aspects, we are protecting bullfighting.»
In this way, he explained that this regulation will reduce bureaucracy, include new types of shows such as public bullfighting events, help ensure that the best fans and managers lead the bullrings, and contribute to the promotion and support of bullfighting.
In this regard, he listed some of the initiatives that the Andalusian Government has implemented in support of bullfighting, such as the strong commitment to bullfighting schools, aid to the livestock sector in difficult times, the creation of a Network of Bullfighting Municipalities, and the broadcasting of bullfights and novilladas on Canal Sur, with great audience success. «And all of this, always, through constant dialogue and consensus with the sector for the benefit of its present and future,» he added.
