Apertura de piscinas municipales en Triana y Cajiz el 1 de julio

During the previous months, the Council has carried out an impeccable job in the municipal pools, which are in optimal conditions for the start of the summer season.

In Triana, there will also be free swimming classes. Adults can enjoy them on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00, and children can also access this free training from 11:00 to 13:00 in two shifts.

The facilities will remain open from Monday to Sunday, with morning and afternoon hours on weekends. Residents can access for free with the only requirement of presenting a valid sports membership card.

The Department of Sports has announced today the start of the summer season with the opening of the municipal pools in Triana and Cajiz. Starting on Tuesday, July 1st, residents of the municipality will be able to enjoy facilities that are in optimal conditions for refreshing themselves for the summer.

Last season, the pools in Vélez-Málaga were fully crowded, with hundreds of young people daily enjoying ideal facilities. Thus, the Vélez-Málaga City Council has continued its commitment to sports and leisure for all audiences. Therefore, July begins in the best way possible, with the opening of the municipal pools in Triana and Cajiz.

The Councilor for Sports, Manuel Gutiérrez, the Deputy Mayor of Triana, Lourdes Piña, and the Deputy Mayor of Cajiz, Jesús María Claros, have detailed to the media the refreshing program of the new season that will start on July 1st in the two population centers.

Both pools will have very extended hours. From Monday to Friday, the facilities will offer a careful service from 16:00 to 21:00. During weekends, a morning use will also be available, in Triana it will open from 10:00 to 14:00, continuing with the service from 17:00 to 21:00. In Cajiz, the schedule will be almost identical, with the only difference being that the pool will open at 11:00. The closing time is the same in both centers (21:00).

«The Department of Sports has done an impeccable job in preparation for both pools to be in optimal conditions for their opening on July 1st so that residents can enjoy and spend mornings and afternoons of fun,» commented the Sports Delegate Councilor. Manuel Gutiérrez wanted to highlight that residents can access the pools for free, «but it is necessary to have a valid sports membership card.»

On the other hand, the Deputy Mayor of Triana, Lourdes Piña, has praised the interesting proposal, which also offers free swimming classes in Triana on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 to 11:00. On the same days, children will also enjoy learning from 11:00 to 13:00, in two split shifts. «The Deputy Mayor’s Office has prepared classes taught by monitors from the Axarquía Swimming Club, ideal for these types of activities, which will offer moments of enjoyment while learning, for both children and adults.» Also, due to the imminent demand for registrations, «registration is required at the Deputy Mayor’s Office in Triana,» added the Deputy Mayor of Triana, Lourdes Piña.

The Deputy Mayor of Cajiz, Jesús María Claros, has also welcomed the opening of both municipal pools. «We welcome the summer and celebrate that, starting on Tuesday, residents of the area can swim in the facilities, where the necessary investments have been made to get them ready.» In addition, Claros has emphasized «the importance of enjoying with tranquility, responsibly, and making good use of the facilities to avoid any incidents.»
