· The area of ​​Social Welfare and Families has reminded that the deadline is still open to apply for the Individual Aid 2025 from the Junta de Andalucía, aimed at people over 65 years old and people with disabilities.

The Benalmádena City Council, through the Area of ​​Social Welfare and Families, has reminded that the deadline is still open to apply for the 2025 Individual Aid from the Junta de Andalucía, aimed at people over 65 years old and people with disabilities. These aids aim to improve the quality of life and autonomy of the most vulnerable groups in the municipality.
The councilor of Social Welfare, Áurea Peralta, has emphasized the importance of this annual call: «These aids are a fundamental tool to guarantee the well-being and equal opportunities of many people who, due to their age or disability situation, require specific support. From the City Council, we are committed to providing all the necessary information and support so that no neighbor who meets the requirements is left without applying.»
The deadline for submitting applications is open from May 30th to June 19th, 2025. Interested persons can submit documentation and receive personalized advice at the Area of ​​Social Welfare and Families, during public service hours from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
People over 65 years old can apply for these aids for the acquisition, repair, or renewal of dental prostheses and orthoses for a maximum amount of €600. Those accessing these aids cannot exceed 1.25 times the IPREM (€706.12/month or €9,885.75/year) per economic unit of coexistence, nor have been beneficiaries for the same concept in the previous call; they must be in a labor inactivity situation and have a certain budget for the expense.
People with disabilities (minimum 33%) can apply for aids for vehicle adaptation, hearing, dental and ocular prostheses, support products, and travel expenses to care centers. The amounts range from €400 to €6,000, depending on the concept. Beneficiaries cannot exceed 1.25 times the IPREM per economic unit of coexistence and must have a certain budget for the expense to be made.
The necessary documentation includes a signed application, ID card, certificate of residence, budget or invoice of the expense, medical prescription (when applicable), income tax return for 2023, and disability certificate.
«From the Area of ​​Social Welfare, we have dedicated ourselves to supporting families during the application process, especially our elders, who in many cases need administrative support,» added Peralta. The City Council reminds that these aids are financed by the Junta de Andalucía and managed locally with the aim of effectively reaching those most in need.
