This initiative represents a great opportunity to get to know a better part of the gastronomic offer of Torre del Mar, which has filled the establishments in a month that is traditionally low season for the hospitality industry.»
Furthermore, the councilor mentioned, «We are breaking participation records again with a large number of people from outside the municipality who have participated in the route and around 40,000 tapas sold, which represents a significant economic impact for our establishments. All of this is a sign that this initiative is already established, and I was particularly struck by the influx of foreign visitors who have taken advantage of their stay here to enjoy our bars and restaurants. I want to thank all the participating establishments and also those who have taken part in this route, making it one of the best and most attractive on the Costa del Sol.»

The councilor also thanked the attendees who have completed the route and highlighted the opportunity they had to participate in the prize draw. «Today, the lucky winners will enjoy their reward. The Association of Entrepreneurs and Merchants of Torre del Mar (ACET) has expressed satisfaction with the results of the 13th Tapas Route, an event that year after year continues to exceed expectations and promote local gastronomy. In his intervention, Juan Antonio Pérez, spokesperson of ACET, thanked all the institutions and individuals who have collaborated in the realization of this successful edition.
«First and foremost, I want to thank all the individuals and institutions that have supported the realization of this 13th Tapas Route in Torre del Mar. To the Deputy Mayor’s Office, to the Commerce Department, and to our sponsors, like Cerveza Victoria, who have made another edition of this event possible,» Pérez began, highlighting the collective effort that has made this new edition possible.
The spokesperson of ACET also emphasized the success of this edition, despite the challenges that have arisen, such as the month of March, traditionally a low-attendance period, and the adverse weather conditions that affected the event. «Despite the circumstances, we have managed to exceed 40,000 tapas served, demonstrating the great interest and support from both residents and visitors. Many businesses, which would have had a harder time without the Tapas Route, have been able to move forward thanks to their participation in this event,» he commented.
Pérez also highlighted the positive economic impact generated by the route. «The economic movement figures generated during the Tapas Route exceed 300,000 euros only in the hospitality sector of Torre del Mar, demonstrating the importance of this initiative in revitalizing the local economy,» he added.
The ACET spokesperson took the opportunity to thank the participating establishments and the tapas route-goers, showing support for local commerce.
Next, Pérez announced the winners of the prizes for this edition, based on the votes of the participants themselves. «The prizes for this year are as follows: the first prize has been awarded to Cafetería Victoria, the second prize has gone to Bar El Granaino, and the third prize has been won by Doña Lola,» he detailed.
Finally, Juan Antonio Pérez invited the attendees to proceed with the prize draw among the participants who completed the route, as well as those who, even if they did not complete it, left their passport at the participating establishments.
«I thank once again all those who have participated, both in the organization and in the route, and we look forward to seeing you in the next edition with more tapas, more flavor, and more opportunities to enjoy the best of our land,» Pérez concluded.
