CCOO critica el «uso oportunista» de los derechos sociales y la protección por el PP.

CCOO criticized «the opportunistic use of social rights and protection carried out by the PP» and influenced the planned concentration for this Sunday to be maintained in front of the «popular» headquarters in Malaga.

«Citizenship rights cannot be subject to the political strategy of nullifying a government, and no political party can use the social rights that have cost so much work,» said the general secretary of CCOO in Malaga, Fernando Cubillo, and the Secretary of Social Policy of CCOO in Malaga, Maculate Sánchez Allende.

At a press conference, Cubillo emphasized that «we must first put people on the table and then the strategies of each political party.»

In this sense, he stated that «more than two million people were at risk of receiving the minimum vital income, pension increases, Dana’s aid, SIDA to the palm, and transportation volcano, along with other measures that have remained on the road, in a single vote, because the PP voted against a decree of 80 measures and caused significant damage to the entire working population.»

Cubillo warned that «the growth and revaluation of pensions cannot be supported while at the same time voting against the income of the public pension system.» «Because the payment of pension revaluation requires increasing revenue,» he added.

In this regard, he added that CCOO «states that the public pension system must increase the fight for pensions that this year should be closed for more than 14,000 million euros.»

«This increase in pensions implies guaranteeing the purchasing power of the almost 300,000 pensioners in Malaga, revaluing contributory pensions with a general character of 2.8%, as well as special pensions of the state passive class regime,» he added.

For his part, Sánchez Allende emphasized that «in Malaga, we had an average amount per household of 497 euros, which, therefore, will go with this revaluation of 9% to 45 euros per month, minimum pensions increasing by approximately 6%. In the last two years, the growth of these minimum pensions has increased by 12% above the value of the IPC, which allows pensions exactly what I said and is to increase, ensuring purchasing power.»

In his opinion, «it is very important that this revaluation of pensions is presented in Malaga, because it is precisely in our province that we have a very important percentage of contributory pensions that do not reach 1,000 euros per month, 57.3%.»

In this sense, Cubillo also indicated that «along the way, there were a series of very important measures, of many political projects, such as autonomous financing. The decree collected advances to the autonomous communities of 1.800 million euros that the Andalusian government should have received for the consolidation of public services.»

«We must affirm that public employment must be placed at the forefront, as well as regional financing that allows the criteria of the population we defend from CCOO, allowing autonomous communities to receive funds depending on the population.»

Therefore, they stated: «We will go out to defend those chapters of the ‘Buse’ decree that have remained on the road and we will ask the Spanish Government to tie up and seek consensus, which is what the population of Malaga wants, a certain consensus that favors the economy of Malaga and Malaga.»
