Over the past three years, more than 1.8 million euros have been invested in acquiring new elements to optimize service provision, with a significant increase in human and material resources
The mayor of Ronda, María de la Paz Fernández, presented today one of the latest investments that the City Council has completed to advance in the modernization of the municipal cleaning company, Soliarsa, with the purchase of a new rear-loading truck that will optimize waste collection throughout the municipal area. This purchase aims to continue advancing the modernization of the entity.
As indicated, this is a modern vehicle that facilitates the removal of organic waste by the operators. The investment in this action amounts to 267,000 euros and is part of the modernization plan that the City Council has been developing in recent times.
It is worth noting that, in the current year 2025, the budgets of this entity exceed 3.5 million euros, including allocations for investments in machinery renewal.
We are making progress in the modernization of the service, and in this sense, the Board of Directors last February approved the acquisition of two vehicles: one to facilitate the collection of bulky items because it has a hydraulic lifting system and also a rear-loading one, which aims to serve the containers of this type in the city. Both will be contracted through a renting system for a period of four years.
Today’s acquisition is part of a policy of renewal and modernization of the cleaning service that the Government team has been developing for years. Evidence of this is that, in the last three years, more than 1.8 million euros have been allocated solely to machinery renewal. Some notable examples include: the purchase of a side-loading truck for 284,000 euros, the acquisition of a sweeper for 239,000 euros, the purchase of a tanker truck for 133,000, and a high-pressure cleaner for 100,000. In 2024, a side-loading truck was bought for 282,000 euros, a rear-loading one valued at 267,000 euros, and one dedicated to the collection of bulky items for 87,000 euros. This year, purchases of side-loading containers are already planned, worth 100,000 euros, and a budget of 15,000 euros dedicated to the replacement of containers.
