The Consejería de Cultura y Deporte of the Junta de Andalucía awarded Unicaja Baloncesto the Andalucía Sports Award 2024 yesterday as the ‘Best Male Team’, an honor they have achieved for the second consecutive year. The gala, held at the Castillo de Gibralfaro in Malaga, highlighted an unforgettable year in which our team won the BCL, FIBA Intercontinental Cup, and the Endesa Supercup. This recognition was shared with the Club Deportivo Sordos de Huelva, European champions of deaf futsal.

Last night, the gala for the delivery of the Andalucía Sports Awards 2024 took place at the Castillo de Gibralfaro in Malaga, organized by the Consejería de Cultura y Deporte of the Junta de Andalucía

 

At this Andalusian sports gala, our team was recognized as the best team of the year, after achieving the BCL, FIBA Intercontinental Cup, and the Endesa Supercup. The award was received by our ambassador Berni Rodríguez and the Commercial Director, Brand, and CSR José Carlos Gaspar.

It is also worth noting that this award was shared with the Club Deportivo Sordos de Huelva, European champions of deaf futsal.

 

The other awardees of this gala, which celebrates the achievements and work carried out in Andalusian sports, were:

  • ‘Best Sportswoman’: María Pérez.
  • ‘Best Sportsman’: Ayoub Ghadfa.
  • ‘Best Sportsman with Disability’: Alfonso Cabello and Pablo Jaramillo.
  • ‘Best Sportswoman with Disability’: Anastasiya Dmytryv.
  • ‘Male Sports Promise’: Rafael Montero.
  • ‘Female Sports Promise’: Lucía González.
  • ‘Best Female Team’: Club Agrupación Voleibol Esquimo Dos Hermanas.
  • ‘Best initiative for the prevention and fight against violence, racism, xenophobia, intolerance, and sexist attitudes or behaviors in sports’: ‘Salvaguardia Program’, by the Andalusian Gymnastics Federation.
  • ‘Best Sports Manager’: Deporinter, for the management of the Vuelta Ciclista a Andalucía.
  • ‘Athlete with the Best Academic Record’: Marta Aznar.
  • Special mentions to Carmen Martín, Antonio Millán, Rocío Suárez, and all the Olympic and Paralympic athletes of Paris 2024.
