This training action, which will take place over the next 4-5 months with weekly sessions at the Urban building, is driven by European funds and organized by the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) and the Digital Agency of Andalusia, belonging to the Regional Government.
The mayor has positively assessed the implementation of this second call, which provides specialized training to recipients with interests in improving their employability and innovation, providing them with resources and tools for their update to the business world that governs the present.
The excellent results achieved with the launching of the Business High Performance Center (CARE) in Vélez-Málaga have reinforced this commitment by the current local government aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises in the municipality, with a focus on improving their performance and establishing a solid base of competitiveness, which has ultimately led to the development of a second edition of this project for business incentive and dynamism, based at the Urban building in the Historic Center.
This niche of business stimulation and promotion of entrepreneurial spirit was inaugurated yesterday afternoon, in its second stage, by the mayor of Vélez, Jesús Lupiáñez, in a context of positioning our business fabric through a training action co-financed by the European Union (EU), through community funds, the Ministry of Industry and Tourism, and co-organized by the School of Industrial Organization (EOI) and the Digital Agency of Andalusia, the latter being part of the Regional Government and ensuring a top-level training program funded through FSE+ and ADA funds, with the collaboration of the Vélez-Málaga City Council.
The local mayor has expressed his satisfaction with the celebration of a second meeting of the Business High Performance Center, in which a total of 20 students, belonging to 19 entities, of which 95% are integrated in the municipality, will take part directly. The commitment of the current Government team to the formation of a solid and consistent productive fabric in the capital of Axarquía involves «programs of this caliber and significance,» emphasized Lupiáñez, who has valued the benefits of a project like CARE in terms of «improving the competitiveness of already consolidated SMEs, professional and personal skills of the participants, designing personalized strategies to improve the results of the companies, and developing and implementing an improvement plan for each participating company.
The lines of action of CARE focus specifically on the personal component of the recipients of this program, with the aim of ensuring that the people who take the courses acquire the necessary knowledge in innovative techniques that allow them to improve the management of their businesses, as well as to promote foreign sales and internationalization in their businesses. «It is specialized training for recipients with interests in improving their employability and in innovation, providing them with resources and tools for their update to the business world that governs the present, from their own management and design of the appropriate actions,» argued the mayor of Vélez during the inauguration of this second edition of CARE.
In terms of interventions, Lola Martínez, director of the Department of Innovation, Entrepreneurs, and SMEs, has conceived this initiative as «a business accelerator that seeks to improve productivity for the benefit of companies and their economic impact on the territory.» In this sense, she highlighted the support of institutions and the Vélez City Council, which allows «European funds to reach Spain and, consequently, to the different representatives of the business fabric.»
On the other hand, Luis Alcalá, representative of the Digital Agency of Andalusia, emphasized «the involvement of the companies that make up the program,» and praised as a fundamental argument of this program the digital transformation, an implementation that «is not easy to achieve, but these programs aim to transfer this knowledge for its implementation within the company, which represents a driving force for other entities.» Regarding the participants of CARE in its second edition, he highlighted his satisfaction with their diversity, «coming from the primary sector to the service sector, being able to develop an interesting synergy among them.»
The effective development of the sessions will take place with 1 or 2 weekly sessions, in the aforementioned Urban building, with a duration of 4-5 months and 62 teaching hours. The program is stipulated under a face-to-face modality. «We want to highlight that projects like this will continue to be carried out in our municipality, the goal is to continue collaborating and helping entrepreneurship, employability, and the economic development of the productive fabric of our municipality,» concluded the mayor of Vélez.
