The photographs must be taken exclusively during the Feria de Santiago and Santa Ana de Torre del Mar, between the 22nd and 27th of July, and reflect its atmosphere, activities, cultural elements, or any aspect directly related to the celebration.
The Deputy Mayor’s Office of Torre del Mar, in collaboration with the Photographic Association FOTOXARCO, the City Council of Vélez-Málaga, and the Andalusian Federation of Photography, announces the IV Photographic Contest ‘Feria de Santiago and Santa Ana de Torre del Mar’, with the aim of highlighting, through images, the most representative and emotional moments of this traditional festivity.
The contest will take place between the 22nd and 26th of July, coinciding with the official dates of the fair, and is open to the participation of amateur and professional photographers, with no age, gender, nationality, or place of residence restrictions.
Competition Rules
The contest establishes two participation categories: children, for those under 18 years old, and adults, for individuals above that age. Minors must have a signed authorization from their legal guardian.
Participants can submit up to three images, taken with any photographic device, including cameras, mobile phones, and drones, as long as they comply with current regulations on aerial flights. Digital editing is allowed, but photomontages or images generated by artificial intelligence will not be accepted. The photographs must not contain watermarks.
The images must be submitted in JPG format (minimum 5 MB and 256 dpi resolution) and keep their RAW file in case the jury requests verification.
Registration and Submission
Registration is free and open until 00:00 on July 15, 2025, through the email concursotofotoxarco@gmail.com. Participants must provide their personal information in the email, and minors must attach a signed consent form from their legal guardian.
The photos should be sent via the WeTransfer platform to the same email address, before 00:00 on July 28, 2025, with the subject line: «Photographs IV Photographic Contest Feria de Torre del Mar».
Prizes
Adult Category
First Prize: 400 euros
Second Prize: 250 euros
Third Prize: 150 euros
Children’s Category
First, second, and third prizes with distinction
The jury’s decision is final, and the award ceremony will take place in July at the Tourist Office of Torre del Mar, in a public event that will include an exhibition of the best works submitted.
The awarded images may be used for cultural and promotional purposes by the Deputy Mayor’s Office of Torre del Mar, the City Council of Vélez-Málaga, and the Photographic Association FOTOXARCO, always citing the authorship and without profit.
