Juventud organiza excursiones en Ocio Alternativo 2025 para jóvenes veleños, con Aventura Amazonia como primera actividad.

The Council has launched an ambitious project aimed at the youngest residents, integrating different recreational sports experiences with a clear focus on learning in nature. The first event will take place at the largest adventure theme park in Andalusia. Interested individuals can sign up starting tomorrow at 9:00 am by phone at 663 256 448, via email at juventud@velezmalaga.es, or on the website juventud.velezmalaga.es.

This activity is completely free, and additional activities related to hiking, kayaking, diving, cultural visits, and monuments will be added in the upcoming days. The Provincial Council of Malaga and the Andalusian Government, through the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), are collaborating on this initiative.

The Youth Department of the Velez-Malaga City Council continues its commitment to providing meaningful leisure and recreational activities for young citizens by organizing various events focused on physical activity, learning, and fun for the younger population in the Axarquia region.

In addition to different training programs for youth employment and professional development, such as recently announced courses in aquatic rescue or leisure time monitoring, the Department is tirelessly working on opening new avenues focused on sports, culture, and leisure for young people. In addition to the recent edition of Educagamer, focusing on video game learning, and the Educajoven project, teaching about sexuality, a series of dynamic and interactive excursions with nature as the main focus have been added from the Youth Department.

Councilwoman Lourdes Piña presented today the Alternative Leisure 2025 initiative, a recreational sports initiative for young people with a clear focus on physical exercise and learning through socialization and interactivity. «We combine sports activities with the socialization of our young people in harmony with nature and the many environments we can find in our beautiful landscape,» explained Piña, who has already announced the first of these proposals today.

On Saturday, March 29, a trip from the Youth Department to Aventura Amazonia Marbella has been planned, a free activity for those born between 1995 and 2011, creating a «dynamic and laid-back» expedition that will explore the corners of a thematic fun park in the trees, with the presence of numerous species of fauna and flora that make the plan «an interesting experience full of learning, fun, and charm» for the participants in the mentioned age range.

Those interested in participating in the mentioned proposal, under the slogan «Are you connected?», can do so starting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 11, at 9:00 am, by phone at 663 256 448, via email at juventud@velezmalaga.es, or on the website juventud.velezmalaga.es. There is a limit of 45 participants for the excursion to Aventura Amazonia. The requirements to join this opportunity are: ages between 1995 and 2011, being registered in Velez-Malaga, and a minimum height of 1.15 meters. The bus will depart on Saturday, the 29th, from the Associations House at 8:45 am, with the return to Velez scheduled for 4:15 pm.

Aventura Amazonia Marbella is the largest adventure park in Andalusia and one of the thematic areas of reference on the Costa del Sol. The local youth group will find up to 103 tree games and no less than 24 zip lines at the complex, all spread across 6 adventure circuits, including Kids, Explorer, Jungle, or Initiation. The highlight and great attraction is the Monkey Jump, a spectacular 12-meter free fall (extra charge). Participants are advised to bring water, breakfast, lunch, comfortable clothing, a change of clothes, sports shoes, and gym or cycling gloves.

A multitude of excursions

Among the different disciplines included in the youth program are cultural and monumental visits, hiking, kayaking, diving, and other aquatic experiences, among others. All of these will be announced in the coming days.

The implementation of this and each of the upcoming Alternative Leisure 2025 initiatives, with the close collaboration of the Provincial Council of Malaga and the Andalusian Government through the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), aims to «offer our young people an alternative that combines sports, learning, and nature,» three essential keys in the development and growth of a particularly sensitive population, as they are in a maturation process between youth and adulthood. This is why, as the Youth Councilor pointed out, «projects of this nature are essential in a healthy and beneficial context.»

The coordinator of the Andalusian Youth Institute (IAJ), Alba Ortiz, has once again highlighted «the work of the Council and the Velez-Malaga City Council in their commitment to these types of initiatives,» made possible «thanks to a synergy between the three administrations that works very well in the service of all these activities,» and has announced that «there may be surprises in the coming days.»

Finally, Ortiz emphasized that «it was about time that Velez made a commitment to young people, who I know are very intense and put a lot of effort into everything that is organized. Things are being done very well, both in training and in leisure and healthy activities, all these activities are very well complemented at all these levels,» concluded the IAJ representative.
