The Popular Traditions Department of the Vélez-Málaga City Council has unveiled an ambitious program of performances, especially considering the event that could not take place on previous dates due to adverse weather conditions. Starting at 1:30 p.m., attendees will have the pleasure of enjoying the talents of Marisol Bizcocho, Hugo Salazar, Antonio Cortés, Chandé, and Ginés González, a native of Málaga and a participant in Antena 3’s «La Voz» program. Admission is free without invitation.
The rescheduling of the event to the current dates has had a positive outcome, as several members of the cast will debut new songs at the Vélez-Málaga event, which will be warmly received by the attending audience.
The councilor for the department, Lourdes Piña, has emphasized and appreciated the joint effort of the organization, Local Police, Civil Protection, and municipal services to overcome the date change and find the best solution to host the event in the municipality.
The Popular Traditions Department of the Vélez-Málaga City Council is finalizing the last details to host the Gala Radiolé, which will take place on Saturday, May 3rd, at Paseo Andalucía in the municipality. This event is a celebration of music in its various forms and styles, showcasing top national artists in collaboration with the Spanish musical radio format. The event was originally planned for February, in honor of Andalusia Day, but was postponed due to confirmed weather forecasts of rain.
From 1:30 p.m. onwards, the Gala Radiolé will showcase a rich lineup of top-tier artists who are well-established in the national music scene. This musical event, organized by the Popular Traditions Department, will be a great celebration of music in Vélez-Málaga. «We will be able to enjoy a great music party,» stated Lourdes Piña, councilor of the department, who presented the lineup of musical performances that will take place at Paseo Andalucía, alongside José Manuel Atencia, the director of Grupo Prisa in Málaga, and Jesús Sánchez, the Events Coordinator at Cadena SER.
«We have prepared a top-notch musical lineup that includes a variety of Spanish music genres, such as flamenco, sevillanas, copla, rumba, and pop,» Piña remarked. The councilor of Popular Traditions encouraged residents and visitors to «attend Paseo Andalucía for an event that will surely not disappoint.» She also took the opportunity to express her gratitude to the Local Police, Civil Protection, and municipal operational services, as well as the entire organizing team, for their collective effort in overcoming the date change and finding the best solution to host the event in the municipality.
José Manuel Atencia, the director of Grupo Prisa in Málaga, highlighted «the warm welcome we always receive from the Vélez-Málaga City Council, particularly in this classic event with a fantastic lineup, which I encourage all residents and visitors to enjoy.» Regarding the mentioned lineup of artists, Jesús Sánchez, the events coordinator at SER Málaga, revealed that «the postponement of the event has allowed many of them to debut new songs here, as they have been working on their new material in the early months of the year, and they will bring them to this event with an Andalusian touch and our most characteristic music.»
Performances
Those interested in attending the Gala Radiolé will have the opportunity to enjoy a lineup of singers including Hugo Salazar, Marisol Bizcocho, and Ginés González, a participant in Antena 3’s «La Voz» program, who will delight the audience with his spectacular voice. The musical spectacle will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will have free admission without invitation. Joining the aforementioned artists in the multi-artist concert will be Alicia Fernández, Iván Gallego, Nina Alemania, Chandé, Fran Ocaña, Katy Ocaña, and the copla singer from Nerja, Antonio Cortés.
