The Department of Sports of the Local Council of Veleño presented the White Week Camp in 2025, which will welcome children between 2013 and 2019 at the Fernando Ruiz Hierro Sports Center, from February 24 to 27.
Interested parties can register in person in the areas covered by Vélez-Málaga and Torre del Mar or through the Web of Tomorrow, to study applications until February 14. The fee is 30 euros, with a 50% discount for siblings.
It is approaching for children and teenagers in the municipality, very desirable data in the school calendar. The White Week falls at the end of February, and the Vélez-Málaga Sports Department wanted to set up a few days of sports and inclusive learning practices for children to start in different alternatives and disciplines to enjoy physical exercise and promote healthy habits.
To do this, the responsible councilor, Manuel Gutiérrez, announced the celebration of the Alba Week Camp 2025, an initiative designed from the municipal delegation that aims to provide a strong boost focused on «healthy sports practice», because «there is nothing more important than, from childhood, having an education in which sports occupies an essential part.»
The Fernando Ruiz Hierro Sports Center is the chosen venue for the department’s planned sports program, which will organize participants between 2013 and 2019. The set of activities will take place both outdoors and in the covered «paco» water.
Therefore, the activities will take place between February 24 and 27, both inclusive, from 9:00 to 14:00. An early classroom will be activated in the morning, from 8:00 to 9:00, for parents to drop off their children, at no additional cost, and notify them in the online form that will be sent by email in the days after registration. The total amount for the camp is 30 euros, with a 50% discount for siblings.
The program presented by the sports department integrates all kinds of multi-sport disciplines. «Children participating can enjoy the start of multi-sport for soccer, basketball, paddle, tennis, hockey, or volleyball,» said Gutiérrez. Very aware of the «sports practice and the values that this represents,» he «encourages each of the little ones to do it regularly from a very young age.» In terms of activities, notions of inclusive sports, popular games, animation, group dynamics, board games, or crafts. Camp registrations can be done on Tuesday, February 4, and the call will be extended until Friday, the 14th.
