The City Council has approved the granting of urban planning licenses totaling close to 67 million euros in the Local Government Board. The municipal spokesperson, Félix Romero, detailed today that the authorized projects include, among others, the construction of a hundred houses in Nueva Andalucía, while highlighting that these figures «reflect how the city maintains its attractiveness as a residential destination, establishing itself as a benchmark for those seeking quality of life and opportunities.» The councilor, who emphasized that this sector «continues to generate economic activity and employment during the peak summer season,» also emphasized the immediate impact these actions have on municipal finances «with an estimated fiscal return of more than 2.6 million euros to the public treasury to finance public resources and services.»
Romero explained that in an extraordinary session held last week, two major building permits were granted for the construction of two residential complexes in Nueva Andalucía with 49 and 45 properties, respectively, as well as parking areas, storage rooms, and commercial premises. The total budget for the joint execution reaches 62 million euros. «These new developments will take place in an area where sufficient electrical power supply was recently authorized, thus guaranteeing the necessary infrastructure,» he pointed out.
On the other hand, the councilor noted that this morning, building permits totaling 408,000 euros for the month of June were reported, as well as various responsible declarations with an investment exceeding 4.1 million euros. «These files once again demonstrate the commitment of residents and developers to the maintenance and improvement of the local housing stock,» he added.
