Más de 10.170 reuniones para promocionar Andalucía

Un grupo de turistas visita la Plaza de España de Sevilla.

The ‘Andalucía en Andalucía’ events counted more than 10,170 meetings in their meetings held in Seville, Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), Malaga, and Granada from April 7th to 10th with the aim of strengthening the promotion and commercialization of the destination within the autonomous community.

With over 222 Andalusian companies and 312 participating travel agents, this initiative is framed against the figures of tourism that Andalusians engage in their own region. In 2024, more than 5.4 million travelers from various provinces of the community stayed in Andalusian hotel establishments, totaling more than 11.6 million overnight stays.

«We are talking about close and trustworthy tourism, driven by love for their land, as Andalusians are the main tourists within their own community,» highlighted Arturo Bernal, the Tourism and Andalusia Exterior counselor of the Andalusian Government, emphasizing that they are «the ones who rediscover the community the most, followed by national tourism.»

«We want Andalusians to continue traveling through our eight provinces because Andalusia has it all: snow, culture, coast, nature, gastronomy. Each corner offers a different experience that deserves to be lived and enjoyed,» he insisted, highlighting the initiative ‘Andalucía en Andalucía’.

«We reinforce the promotion and commercialization of the destination within the autonomous community through these professional days aimed at tourism intermediaries, in this case especially wholesale and retail travel agencies. All this to facilitate, expand, and update the knowledge of the Andalusian destination in the hands of provincial and local tourism entrepreneurs and institutions,» he emphasized.

«No one promotes Andalusia better than an Andalusian who has lived it. Reinforcing the Andalusia brand, generating new business opportunities, and bringing the offer even closer to our own market,» emphasized Arturo Bernal, explaining that each day includes presentations, marketing workshops, tastings of Andalusian products, and energizing activities.

Committed productive fabric

For Arturo Bernal, the positive reception of these events demonstrates «the strength of a committed and key productive fabric for the development of the entire Andalusian tourism ecosystem.» «We contribute to sustainability, seasonality, and territorial cohesion of tourism in our community,» he said.

«The high participation reflects a solid, prepared, and proud tourism fabric of its land. Promoting local tourism not only generates local economy but also reinforces Andalusian identity and its projection as a leading destination nationwide. Continuing to incentivize internal tourism is not only an effective policy, it is also an act of pride,» he concluded.
