Netflix España se une al Clúster Audiovisual y de Contenidos Digitales de Andalucía

Acto de firma del convenio por el que Netflix España se incorpora al Clúster Audiovisual y de Contenidos Digitales de Andalucía (LAND).

The counselor of the Presidency, Interior, Social Dialogue, and Administrative Simplification of the Andalusian Government, Antonio Sanz, has signed a agreement in Madrid by which Netflix Spain joins the Audiovisual and Digital Content Cluster of Andalusia (LAND), allowing, among other things, the organization of exclusive workshops and meetings to present ideas and projects.

Antonio Sanz emphasized that the agreement «is more than just a deal, it is a historic opportunity to position Andalusia at the forefront of innovation, the creative economy, and international projection,» while also highlighting that «LAND already brings together almost 70 of the best companies in Andalusia in the sector, companies that have demonstrated their talent, creativity, and adaptability in an increasingly competitive and globalized environment.»

The agreement between LAND and Netflix Spain will open up new avenues for collaboration and training for Andalusian audiovisual companies. The counselor stressed that «we are not only talking about creativity and talent, but about real economic impact, as this collaboration will generate new business opportunities, attract investments, and contribute to the development of a sector that is strategic for Andalusia, both in job creation and innovation capacity.»

The Andalusian Government has made a strong commitment to the sector through an ambitious audiovisual strategy that promotes growth, internationalization, and excellence of companies and professionals. The Audiovisual and Digital Content Cluster of Andalusia is an example of public-private collaboration aimed at bringing together all Andalusian companies involved in the value chain of audiovisual content and digital innovation in Andalusia, positioning the community as a reference center for national and international production in these sectors.

About the LAND Cluster

There are already nearly 70 companies that have joined the audiovisual cluster LAND. «Companies that are seeing how the Andalusian Administration continues to work to address the main demands of the sector in terms of administrative simplification and bureaucracy elimination,» highlighted the counselor.

In this sense, thanks to the Andalucía Simplifies Plan (AS Plan), the authorization procedure for work in series and films for minors under 16 years has been standardized and expedited with a unique and specific application form. Similarly, work is ongoing with the relevant departments to expedite authorizations for shootings in coastal areas to the maximum and for the standardization and simplification of shooting requests in buildings classified as Historical Heritage.

In parallel, LAND and Andalucía Film Commission have reached an agreement to work together to assist promoters of audiovisual and digital projects in Andalusia, which will also serve to identify high-impact projects in terms of investment and job creation that would be assigned to the Project Acceleration Unit (UAP).

To this end, in January, the Government modified the competencies of the UAP to incorporate the audiovisual sector so that it serves to boost the industry, facilitating project management by providing the speed needed to move forward.

Regarding the projects initiated for this 2025, LAND will continue to organize sector forums and promote agreements and collaboration with key institutions, such as the one signed with Netflix Spain or the agreement with the Ministry of Education to promote dual vocational training in collaboration with companies in the sector.

Also in 2025, LAND aims to become a Innovation Cluster of Andalusia, in order to benefit from the advantages and opportunities that this entails in public funding and in financing collaborative projects around the innovation of the Cluster with its partners.

The counselor of the Presidency concluded by emphasizing that «Andalusia is ready for the world, because we are a land of talent, creativity, and innovation, and with partners like Netflix, our content, our companies, and our stories will cross borders and leave a mark around the world.»
