PP valora inversión de más de 10 millones de Diputación de Málaga en Guadalhor.

The "popular" group in the Diputación de Málaga presented an investment of over ten million euros with the aim of transforming the Guadalhori region. This injection of resources aims to strengthen the road infrastructure and increase the autonomy of municipalities in the region through various initiatives including the plan to consolidate farms, the road plan, and the second phase of the Municipal Economic Assistance Plan (PAEM).

An unprecedented investment effort that will not only improve the connectivity and safety of roads, essential for economic development, tourism, and the quality of life of residents but also ensures that municipalities have the necessary resources to address their most urgent needs quickly and efficiently," he said.

The press conference organized in Alhaurín El Grande was attended by popular group deputies Cristóbal Ortega, Antonia Ledesma, and Nieves. Also present were representatives from Pizarra, Félix Lozano, Tolox, Jerónimo Macías, and councilors from different areas of the region.

Ledesma highlighted the "important commitment of the PP to the Guadalhori region" and emphasized that "the PP is the party of people and territories, as it knows their main needs and weaknesses to strengthen and enhance them through the various institutions in which it governs, as is the case with the Provincial Council of Malaga."

Therefore, she indicated that "starting in May 2023, the PP has made a strong commitment to Alhaurín El Grande, with an investment of over 1.3 million euros in economic plans and approximately 900,000 euros in the road agreement."

On the other hand, Nieves Atance emphasized that "the PP has a firm commitment to all corners of the province, especially in the municipalities where it is most needed." She also emphasized the importance of "interhuman cooperation" as a key factor for the success of PP’s public policies.

"The PP continues to demonstrate that stability and responsibility are the foundations of its administration, always seeking the benefit of all municipalities without exception, regardless of the political color of the mayors, but their ability to work for citizens," said Cristóbal Ortega.

In addition, the provincial deputy emphasized that beyond infrastructure, the PP is aware of the urgent needs of municipalities in Guadalhori, such as strengthening healthcare personnel or social support.

"The true progress of a region is not only measured by the amount of resources invested but by tangible results that translate into employment, well-being, and sustainable development," said Ortega.

Investments in Road Infrastructure

Of the ten million euros announced, 6.6 million will be allocated to improving road infrastructure in the Guadalhori region. The firm consolidation plan, with a budget of 1.8 million euros, will cover an area of 17.3 kilometers, including important sections like MA-3403 (Villanueva de Incecharon to Almogía), MA-3300 (Alhaurín de Torre to Alhauría El Grande), MA-3404 (Casabermeja to A-7075), and MA- (Valle de Abdalajilor to Angosturas).

The road plan, with an investment of 1.5 million euros, will include the structural rehabilitation of sections on MA-6402 (Cañete La Real to Atalya) and MA-4402 (A-343 to La Joya), projects that will begin in the coming months. Additionally, 2.8 million euros will be allocated to emergency works and 500,000 euros for conservation work on the road network.

Nieves Atrance highlighted the importance of these investments, ensuring that "the PP is making a decisive effort to strengthen road infrastructure, essential for connectivity, economic development, and the quality of life of our towns." She also added that these improvements will facilitate greater sustainable mobility and ensure a smoother connection with the capital and the rest of the province.

PAEM

On the other hand, Cristóbal Ortega emphasized the importance of the second phase of the Municipal Economic Assistance Plan (PAEM), a program that offers municipalities greater autonomy to manage funds for their most urgent priorities.

"PAEM is a key tool that provides municipalities in Guadalhorce with the necessary resources to make local decisions without external interference," said Ortega. According to the Deputy, this program is a clear indication of how the PP practices decentralization with actions, not just words.

The municipalities of Guadalhori will receive a balanced distribution of funds allocated by PEEM as follows: Alhaurín de Torre (350,000 euros), Alhaurín El Grande (235,000 euros), COÍN (235,000 EUROS), Pizarra (160,000 euros), Tolox (140,000 euros), among others.
