Refrescante edición de la Ruta del Cóctel en Torre del Mar.

Establishments associated with the initiative will offer unique cocktails, with or without alcohol, following a similar dynamic to the Tapas Route, where each person must acquire a passport and vote for each of the proposals offered.

The first deputy mayor of the municipality of Vélez-Málaga and deputy mayor of Torre del Mar, Jesús Pérez Atencia; Beatriz Gálvez, councilor for Business and Employment; and José María Alba, hospitality spokesperson for the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Torre del Mar (ACET), have presented a new edition of the Torre del Mar Cocktail Route.

In this regard, Pérez Atencia stated, «We are holding this press conference to inform about an initiative of the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Torre del Mar, which has already become a classic pre-summer event in Torre del Mar, with a significant participation and following. We are talking about the 2025 Cocktail Route, which will take place from May 30 to June 29 in different establishments in Torre del Mar.»

Continuing, Atencia mentioned, «The establishments associated with the initiative will offer unique cocktails, with or without alcohol, following a similar dynamic to the Tapas Route, where each person must acquire a passport and vote for each of the proposals offered. At the end, there will be a draw with hotel stays, cash prizes, and dinners at restaurants in Torre del Mar.»

The councilor concluded by emphasizing that this is «an activity that will revitalize the hospitality establishments in our town and will generate, as has happened on other occasions, a significant economic impact. We invite everyone to participate and hope it will be a successful event.»

The Hospitality spokesperson for the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Torre del Mar (ACET), José María Alba, highlighted that this route «promises to delight the senses and energize the range of liquid proposals and entertainment in our municipality.» The initiative, taking place between May 30 and June 29, aims to, in Alba’s words, «promote hospitality and encourage tourism in Torre del Mar.» For a month, visitors can enjoy a route through 14 establishments, where exclusive cocktails will be served at the price of 6 euros, with versions available with and without alcohol.

The participation process is simple. Attendees can rate the cocktails on a scale of 1 to 10, and those with up to 10 stamps will enter a draw for various prizes. «We will raffle three prizes of 100 euros in ACET money and two tasting dinners for two at Boraz and Berebere beach bar,» detailed the ACET representative.

Additionally, the organizers have set up a website where all event-related information can be found: details of each establishment, opening hours, allergens, closing days, and more. «And of course, we invite you to follow us on social media, where we will be posting updates and activities related to the route,» added Alba.

The Hospitality spokesperson also wanted to highlight and thank the institutional support: «As every year, we want to thank the collaboration of the Deputy Mayor’s Office and the Department of Commerce, which are always by the side of these initiatives.» He also expressed gratitude to the sponsors: Monín, Universo Web, Larios 13, Boraz, and Berebere.

The Torre del Mar Cocktail Route officially kicks off this Thursday. «We await you at the participating establishments so you can taste the proposals of this edition. Thank you very much,» concluded José María Alba.

During the press conference, the councilor for Industry and Commerce, Beatriz Gálvez, described the Cocktail Route as «a consolidated event that revitalizes the hospitality sector and attracts both locals and visitors.» She also wanted to show her appreciation to the participants: «Thanks to all the businessmen and merchants who make this route possible, offering original and creative proposals specifically crafted for this event.»

From the department she heads, Gálvez reaffirmed the commitment to local commerce: «We are committed to promoting and supporting our entrepreneurs, who are key to the economy and the projection of our municipality. This type of event has a direct positive impact: it retains customers, attracts new visitors, and reinforces the image of Torre del Mar as an attractive destination.»

She concluded by encouraging participation: «We invite everyone to enjoy this new edition of the Cocktail Route. You cannot miss it. It is a fantastic opportunity to support our local commerce.»
