The new edition of the old class, organized by the local council and the University of Malaga (UMA), has scheduled seven training actions in Marbella between February and May. The Director General of Culture, Carmen Díaz, emphasized that «another course that we have contracted in this initiative, free and open, aimed at the group of people over 55 years old, although it is open to the general public.» «This activity consists of a series of lecture cycles given by university professors at the Miraflores Cultural Center,» said the local head.
The first module, starting next week on the 18th, 20th, 25th, and 27th, will be «When the Flies Will Arrive: Inspiration and Creation in the Great Figures of Hispanic Literature from the 20th Century,» with Professor Raúl Cremades García, while the second, taking place on March 4th, 6th, 11th, and 13th, will deal with «The Journey Within Our Genes,» led by Enrique Viguera Mínguez and Ana Grande Pérez. The upcoming workshop, on the 18th, 20th, 25th, and 27th, is titled «The Art of the Word: A Room for Thought. Communication and Debate,» led by Pedro J. Plaza González.
On April 1st, 3rd, 8th, and 10th, lectures in the cycle «Cinematic Work: From Its Origins to the Present» will be held with Penélope Martín Martín. The program will conclude with the modules «A Journey Through the Wine Heritage» on May 6th, 8th, 13th, and 15th, conducted by Professor Gorka Zamarreño Aramendia, and «Rhetoric for the 21st Century: Democracy, Humanism, and Manipulation,» taking place on the 20th, 22nd, 27th, and 29th, with Francisco Estévez Regidor and Jesús Baena Criado presenting.
