The first deputy mayor of the municipality of Vélez-Málaga and deputy mayor of Torre del Mar, Jesús Pérez Atencia; the councilor for Industry and Commerce of the City Council of Vélez-Málaga, Beatriz Gálvez; and the vice president of the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Torre del Mar (ACET), Julián Betancur, presented on Tuesday morning a new edition of the campaign ‘Gracias Torre del Mar’, which aims to reward local commerce customers for their loyalty and trust with a thousand euros distributed in several purchase vouchers.
In this way, Pérez Atencia stated that «we call on the media to present the ‘Gracias Torre del Mar’ campaign to promote local commerce. One of the most successful initiatives carried out. A campaign organized by the Association of Entrepreneurs and Merchants of Torre del Mar that has two parallel objectives: On the one hand, to continue promoting purchases in the traditional establishments of our town.»
On the other hand, the councilor pointed out that «it also seeks to thank the residents of Torre del Mar who continue to trust local businesses and be part of their activity. It is important to continue promoting commercial activity in the urban area of Torre del Mar so that it remains a lively town.»
Atencia recalled that «from the Deputy Mayor’s Office, we will always support initiatives that promote something as important as local commerce. We will continue to bet on our commercial fabric with different initiatives that have already been proven to boost our economy. A few days ago, we presented the Tapas Route, a complete success, and now this Gracias Torre del Mar.»
The vice president of ACET, Julián Betancur, explained that «this event has become a key initiative for local commerce. It returns with the aim of boosting purchases in our establishments and rewarding the loyalty of our customers. In this edition, customers can participate to win 1,000 euros in prizes that can only be redeemed at the participating establishments. This ensures that the impact of the event directly benefits local commerce, promoting the local economy and strengthening the business fabric of Torre del Mar.»
From the association, he expressed «our sincere thanks to our sponsoring institutions, whose support is essential for the success of this initiative. Thank you very much to the Deputy Mayor’s Office of Torre del Mar, the City Council of Vélez-Málaga, the Andalusian Government, and the Ministry of Employment, Business, and Self-Employment.»

The councilor for Industry and Commerce of the City Council of Vélez-Málaga, Beatriz Gálvez, indicated that «we present an initiative that values the effort and dedication of our local merchants, hoteliers, and entrepreneurs. The purpose of this campaign is to recognize and thank the commitment of local commerce, promoting consumption in the businesses of our town and strengthening the business fabric through these types of actions and events.»
