Suspensión de la Feria «Sabor a Málaga» por lluvias – Se buscan nuevas fechas

The «Sabor a Málaga» Fair, which was scheduled to take place in Vélez-Málaga this weekend from March 21 to 23, has been suspended due to the forecast of rain derived from the various meteorological reports provided by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), which predict significant precipitation, mainly on Friday, March 21, and Sunday, March 23. The decision has been taken preventively and in agreement with the Provincial Council of Málaga, the promoter of this event aimed at enhancing our most rooted gastronomic products. However, the Councilor for Agri-food of the Vélez-Málaga City Council, Jesús María Claros, has already announced «the search for new dates to be able to celebrate it under optimal conditions for all residents and visitors», a decision that will be made jointly with the Provincial Council.

The «Sabor a Málaga» Fair, which had already taken place in the municipality with great attendance results, is proposed as a framework for meeting and coexistence of residents and visitors around the most significant and traditional elaborations of our Malaga land. Finally, the 36 confirmed producers and all those who were somehow going to participate in the activity have been informed of its suspension due to the forecast of adverse weather conditions on the days of its development. «This measure has been taken not only to preserve the safety of the exhibitors present and the various planned initiatives, but also of all attendees,» communicated Claros, who, in any case, emphasized that «we are already looking for new dates with the Provincial Council to host an event that brings us a great tourist focus, which is very interesting, but always preserving the safety of all those present there.»

The promotional brand «Sabor a Málaga», promoted by the Provincial Council of Málaga, and working on the quality and authenticity of our agri-food products, seeks to unify the highest quality foods in the province with a global image, in order to enhance, both within and outside our territory, the Malaga agri-food sector, as well as its contribution to the dynamization of the local economy and the creation of employment in the agricultural and agri-food sector.
