The Minister of Tourism and Foreign Affairs of Andalusia, Arturo Bernal, expressed his gratitude for the new air route that will be offered by the operator Tui Poland. This route will connect Warsaw with the airport of Jerez from Frontera (Cádiz) through a charter flight that will begin operating in April.
Bernal emphasized that this connection, which will add Around 5,000 seats for the community in the upcoming summer season, «will strengthen the positioning of the province of Cádiz as a destination in the growing Polish market.»
In this regard, he highlighted that Poland as an issuing market was the origin of 19,210 protected travelers in Cadiz hotels in the last 2024, 3.4% more than the previous year. These visitors spent 44,340 overnight stays in the province, representing an increase of 17.7%.
He also appreciated that the operator’s commitment to the infrastructure of Jerez «is accompanied by the presence of the province and the units of Gaditanos hotels in their catalogs,» which «will multiply the marketing of the destination among their clients.»
Indeed, The community will be present at the TUI POL Convention that the intermediary will hold on February 21st, a meeting that will include a workshop with the participation of promotional entities of destination companies and Andalusia.
The fourth vice president and provincial tourism vice president, German Beardo, praised the implementation of this new air connection with the province of Cádiz and believes that it is «excellent news that will contribute to the arrival of more tourists to the province from a market that is emerging as a polished market.»
«From the Provincial Council of Tourism, we work to obtain opportunities like this, which is presented with the Jerez-Warsaw air connection, and in this line we will continue to achieve increasingly sustainable tourism, focusing on quality and on generating opportunities for our land.»
On the other hand, the mayor of the city, María José García-Pelayo, assured that the new airline enhances the Jerez airport thanks to «the work carried out by the Andalusian Government in the Andalusian air connectivity table, in the present by the City of Jerez and in which our municipal government will continue working to achieve the maximum performance possible of Jerez airport.»
The connection between the Polish capital and Jerez airport will operate during the summer season, Starting on April 18th and extending until October 17th. It will be a weekly charter flight operated by Entee Airline in collaboration with Tui Poland, offering 189 seats on the route.
The tourism of Cadiz and Andalusia have been working for the Polish market together with Turesspaña for over 15 years, participating in different actions proposed by the Spanish tourism office in Poland. Therefore, the new route is a consequence of the work in this market carried out by the three administrations.
Back in 2007, nearly 300 travel agents, Polish institutional operators, and representatives visited the province during the National Congress of the Polish Tourism Chamber (PIT), invited by the Board of Directors, Turespaña, and the Chamber of Commerce.
