The initiative, designed by the Axarlon Sports Club, in collaboration with the Department of Historic Center, is added to the «Kiss Day» on Friday, February 14th with a 5 km race to the main locations of the Historic District of Vélez-Málaga. The route will start at 5:00 p.m. and interested participants can register directly at the location.
The objective of the event is to promote physical activity and healthy living in an environment of coexistence that appreciates the beauty of the local heritage.
On Friday, February 14th, Vélez-Málaga has a date with «El Rincón del Kiss», a new initiative organized by the Historic Center Department of the Local Council of Vélez-Málaga on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. The event has caused a stir and attendance is expected from the inhabitants of the curious district, who can participate in the discovery of the sculpture created for the occasion by Eduardo Roberto and the various activities prepared for the participants. Among those present are members of the Axarlon Sports Club, who have decided to participate in the event surrounding the Kiss that organizes a remaining race.
This morning, the «search for the Kiss corner» race was greeted by Juan Fernández Olmo, who praised the club members for wanting to collaborate on a project to revitalize and value the historic center of Vélez-Málaga. He also took the opportunity to encourage all the locals and those who want to come from abroad to join the activities organized by the Axarlon Sports Club. Fernández Olmo emphasized that «all the events and work we do for our historic environment and our city are few to ensure that every day we feel prouder».
The race will start at 5:00 p.m. The delegation organized by the sports club will travel to Fortaleza, Plaza San Juan de Dios, Andalucía Park, María Zambrano Park, Beniel Palace, and Las Carmelitas, leading to the Kiss corner.
CD Axarlon representative, Luis Insha, made a call to participate in the «search for the Kiss corner», which turns out to be «a very interesting way to spend time passing through the most beautiful areas of Vélez, through an event that promotes friendship and will end with the inauguration of Eduardo Roberto’s sculpture.» He also encouraged «everyone to return», according to the event in question. A gift will be given to the first 100 runners and there will be different raffles among the participants, culminating in a networking party.
The Axarlon Sports Club, founded in 2011, consists of about 100 members across all its disciplines, including open water, hiking, athletics, and triathlon.
