Vélez-Málaga celebrará el Día de Andalucía con la Gala Radiol

The ambitious musical program presented in honor of the anniversary of Andalusia’s complete autonomy began with institutional events at the Hercules Roundabout at 12:00. The festivities continued with a gala featuring national artists at Andalusia Paseo starting at 13:30.

The event took place at Paseo de Andaluía, with free entry and performances by artists such as Juanlu Montoya, Marisol Cake, Hugo Salazar, Antonio Cortés, and Malaga Ginés González from the Antena 3 program «Voice.»

The Vélez-Málaga Municipal Council organized a cultural and festive proposal for Andalusia Day, starting with traditional institutional events led by Mayor Jesús Lupiáñez. This was followed by the main event organized by the Department of Popular Traditions. On February 28, Radio Gala for the municipality showcased top national musical talent.

The institutional events unfolded at the Hercules Roundabout in Andalusia, where Mayor Jesús Lupiáñez, along with local administration members and Municipal Corporation representatives, paid tribute to the region’s autonomy achieved through the 1980 referendum. The Radio Gala event at Andalusia Paseo featured established national artists and marked a new initiative in the municipal area.

«This will be an excellent musical celebration on such a significant day as our autonomous community anniversary,» emphasized Lourdes Piña, Councilor for Popular Traditions. The musical performances at Paseo de Andaluía showcased various genres like flamenco, copla, rumba, and pop. Mayor Jesús Sánchez Yeste, Coordinator of Málaga’s music stations, encouraged residents and visitors to attend the event for a memorable experience.

Interested individuals could participate in the Radio Gala for Andalusia Day, enjoying performances by artists like Juanlu Montoy and Antena 3. The musical spectacle started at 13:30, with free entry. Accompanying the mentioned artists were Alicia Fernández, Tamara Jesz, Chandé, and copla singer Antonio Cortés.

«We have prepared a musical event that leaves no detail overlooked,» said Lourdes Piña, highlighting the dedication of the delegation and government team in bringing diverse and entertaining initiatives to the municipality. The Mayor urged everyone to join the festivities on February 28 at Andaluce Paseo for a joyous and musical celebration.
