Therefore, the project «Management and Coordination of Educational Leisure Activities for Children and Youth» has been initiated as an official public training proposal in the field of professional employability. The registration period will run from June 9 to 20 and can be requested at the secretariat of IES Reyes Católicos, the venue for the training.
The Professional Certification, belonging to the Department of Educational Development and Vocational Training of the Andalusian Government, and driven by the Education and Sports Departments of the Vélez-Málaga City Council, endorses the accreditation of participants in improving employability and seeking job opportunities related to children’s and youth leisure activities.
Education Councilor, Lourdes Piña, has shared details of a «very interesting» proposal aimed at young people acquiring the foundational knowledge and labor resources necessary for their performance in a professional segment with numerous alternatives, as they work with our youngest and growing neighbors, who have specific needs that must be addressed to cater to this younger user demographic.
«We want our younger neighbors to have the opportunity to enter the job market, and that’s why we promote these initiatives, as preparation is essential in today’s world to enjoy a wide range of professional opportunities.» It is worth mentioning that this professional development chapter adds to similar projects like lifeguard courses also taking place in our locality.
On the sports front, Sports Councilor, Manuel Gutiérrez, has emphasized the excellent sports health exhibited by our younger citizens, evident from the significant successes achieved in various disciplines every weekend. The latter, project coordinator, has emphasized the benefits of a training initiative that includes not only theoretical content but also a dual preparation phase in companies, creating a robust and comprehensive program that will allow students to interact with the professional sector during their time in companies to apply the acquired knowledge.
The professional certification program, comprising a theoretical-practical dynamic spread over 410 hours with real work actions in companies, has a maximum allocation of 15 spots, accessible through registration at the secretariat of IES Reyes Católicos, with prior appointments requested through the center’s website.
